Charleston Southern’s department of history and political science seeks to develop students’ skills in critical thinking, interdisciplinary re搜索 and oral and written communication through historical study and political investigation. A degree in history offers a chance to develop critical thinking and writing skills while exploring areas of individual interest with the help of a dedicated faculty advisor. Students have opportunities for experiential learning at diverse locations across the Lowcountry and academic credit for participation in off-campus studies completed in Washington, D.C., Italy and the United Kingdom.
Because of my professors’ knowledge and love for history, I was able to leave CSU with the best set of skills when it comes to interpreting history from a Christian worldview, as well as having a better understanding, passion and respect for the discipline. I truly could not thank them enough.
